What We Do

CATsnippers trap, neuter, and return (TNR) feral and stray populations living in barns, abandoned buildings, and behind dumpsters. ‘Feral’ cats are born in the wild and have never been tamed by humans. ‘Stray’ cats have been cared for by humans and then abandoned or lost. Strays may eventually become feral, but ferals rarely allow human contact.

Unlike native raccoons and opossums, all feral cats are the offspring of their domesticated ancestors. We brought them to this country; it’s not fair of us to abandon them. Part of CATsnip’s colony support program requires involved humans provide food, water, and shelter for the cats, and monitor them for illness and injury.
